What is Omvoh?

Omvoh (mirikizumab-mrkz) is a prescription medication that is used to treat adults with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis (UC).

How Does Omvoh Work? 

Omvoh works to address inflammation within your gut. It is the only ulcerative colitis treatment that targets a specific protein called IL-23p19, which is a protein in the body that plays a role in inflammation related to UC. Omvoh works within your GI tract by reducing inflammation in your colon. It is a biologic medicine first given as an IV infusion through a vein in the arm in a doctor's office. Later in treatment, during the maintenance phase, Omvoh is given as a subcutaneous injection under the skin.
