Vyepti

What is Vyepti?

Vyepti (eptinezumab-jjmr) is a prescription medicine used for the preventive treatment of chronic migraine in adults.

How does Vyepti Work?

Vyepti is a calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) blocker for migraine prevention. CGRP proteins are found in the brain. CGRP can attach to CGRP receptors and activate them, which is thought to play a large role in causing migraines. Vyepti binds to CGRP, preventing it from activating CGRP receptors.

Vyepti is administered by intravenous (IV) infusion in a doctor’s office. These are typically 30-minute IV infusions given 4x a year (every 3 months). The most common side effects of Vyepti include stuffy nose and sore throat.
